A ride to the Cowshed café between Tideswell and Millers Dale. We head out on the long climb along Ringinglow to Burbage; and then down to Bamford via New Road with its spectacular views across the Hope Valley. We leave the Hope Valley to climb through Bradwell to Coplow Dale and on to Tideswell. The Cowshed Café is located 1.5 miles along the road from Tideswell to Millers Dale. The return initially climbs back uphill towards Tideswell before we turn right and climb through Litton to cross the A623 and on to Great Hucklow. Another climb takes us to the top of the Abney road. A long sweeping descent takes us back to Hathersage in Hope Valley. From here there are multiple possible routes back into Sheffield. Riders who live to the North and West of Sheffield may chose to return home via the Bamford and the A57. Alternatively, Jaggers and Coggers or Fidler’s Elbow may be chosen. I have plotted the route back via Surprise, because the nights are drawing in and it’s the quickest way back to roads under street lights. 41 miles 3,800 ft of ascent
