October’s audax events have now been added to the programme. As well as the popular Ring of Steel 100km ride, an extended 200km version, On to the Big Ring, has been added. Visit the Audax page for details of all this year’s events.
There are a few places available for Sheffield CTC members to join our friends from Chesterfield Spire at excellent value at an Oxfordshire Youth Hostel. We have received the following invitation from Tony Adams.

Due to the much higher than anticipated cost for us to show ‘A Day Out’ we have reluctantly decided not to show it. It is important to us that we keep the evening as a non-paying event but the cost would have been SIX TIMES MORE than we have ever had to pay to secure the right to show a film at previous events. We will be replacing the 48 minute play with two 20 minute cycling related features – both very good. The Postcard of the Peak film will be shown as advertised.

Liz has asked that people dress or maybe decorate themselves and/or their bikes in a Christmassy way. Does anyone have any Christmas music they could bring? She would also like to collect money for NSPCC during the ride, so if anyone has a charity tin to lend please let her know.
Special Christmas one-off Wednesday night easy ride on Wednesday 21 December.
Meet at Millhouses Park cafe to leave at 6.30 pm. Destination will be a Dore village pub. Entire route will be on roads with street lights but please also bring bike lights.
